Register for MakerShift!

MakerShift Midtown is a free, family-friendly annual festival of the Greater Capital Region that celebrates makers and encourages a public conversation about how science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) is changing how we live, work and play in the 21st Century. During the first Saturday in May, multiple venues along Third Street in Midtown, Harrisburg will host makers, artists and musicians who look forward to sharing their creations and how STEAM is impacting them. You won’t want to miss it!

MakerShift Midtown is free to the general public and is a family friendly event!

What is a Maker?

We are looking to celebrate Makers who create for the love of it! If you are a hobbyist, tinkerer or artist who would like to encourage others to MAKE and share your process with the public we want to MAKE space for you at MakerShift Midtown! Come celebrate how science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) has informed your work!


By taking part in this event you grant the event organizers full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for fundraising, publicity or other purposes to help achieve the group’s aims. This might include (but is not limited to), the right to use them in their printed and online publicity, social media, press releases and funding applications.

The Greater Capital Region STEAM Ecosystem and its participating agencies have no liability to event participators whatsoever for any direct or indirect loss, sustained during or in any way related to participation in the event.

All dogs must be kept on leash during this event.
